February 28, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 12 (Text-Only) ORDER in Response to #9 Motion for Extension. Before the Court is an unopposed motion for an extension of time for Defendant Quantum-Si Incorporated to answer or otherwise respond to Plaintiff's Complaint. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 6(b)(1)(A) states that a court "may, for good cause, extend the time..." by which some act must be done. (Emphasis added). The motion does not show good cause for the requested extension because the parties have provided no reason beyond their mutual agreement to justify this extension request. Therefore, the motion is denied. The Court will reconsider the request if good cause is shown. Ordered by Magistrate Judge John F. Docherty on 2/28/2024. (TJS)
