Filing 17 MINUTE ENTRY. Teleconference held before the Hon. Nanette K. Laughrey on November 7, 2018 regarding the Proposed Scheduling and Trial Order, Doc. #11 . Ms. Holste explained that the parties requested an 11-month discovery period because the case will require review of documents relating to similarly-situated employees. Because review of documents relating to similarly-situated employees is necessary in most employment discrimination cases, the Court concluded that the parties had not offered sufficient justification for a substantial departure from the 6-month discovery period usually permitted by the Court. Although the Court will permit the parties more than six months to conduct discovery, it will not permit the 11-month discovery period the parties requested. Appearances: Plaintiff by Carla Holste. Defendant by Jennifer Schorgl. Court Reporter: None. Courtroom Deputy: Renea Matthes Mitra. (Text entry only.) (Matthes Mitra, Renea) |
