MEMORANDUM AND ORDER regarding Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus 1 filed by Lora McKinney. In short, the grant of a writ of habeas corpus with regard to Claim One or Claim Two is not warranted here because the Nebraska state courts reasonably appl ied Strickland and other Supreme Court holdings in reaching their decision. McKinney's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (filing no. 1 ) is denied in all respects and this action is dismissed with prejudice. MEMORANDUM AND ORDER - Upon initial review of the Petition 1 the court preliminarily determines that Petitioner's claims, as set forth in this Memorandum and Order, are potentially cognizable in federal court.
