MEMORANDUM AND ORDER that the Plaintiff's Motion to Continue (filing no. 9 ) is granted. Plaintiff shall have 30 days from the date of this order to file an Amended Complaint and, if diversity jurisdiction is asserted, sufficient evidence sh owing the amount in controversy is greater than $75,000.00. Failure to file a response in accordance with this Memorandum and Order will result in dismissal of this matter without further notice to Plaintiff. The clerk of the court is directed to set a pro se case management deadline in this matter with the following text: February 20, 2018: deadline for Plaintiff to file Amended Complaint and evidence of diversity jurisdiction. MEMORANDUM AND ORDER that leave to proceed in forma pauperis is granted, and the Complaint shall be filed without payment of fees. Plaintiff is advised that the next step in his case will be for the court to conduct an initial review of his claims to determine whether summary dismissal is appropriate under 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e)(2).
