Filing 6 TEXT ORDER: The complaint in this case contains allegations against various individuals and entities similar to and repetitive of those in other actions filed in this court on behalf of the Plaintiff. Hudson v. Palmetto Richland Hospital, et al, No. 3:18-3188-TMC-TER (D.S.C. 2018); Hudson v. Sterling, No. 3:19-cv-491-TMC-TER (D.S.C. 2019); Hudson v. City of Columbia, et al, No. 4:19-cv-492-TMC-TER (D.S.C. 2019). Those actions were dismissed after the court determined that the Plaintiff had not prepared and filed the pleadings and responsive documents himself or through counsel. Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 1654, Plaintiff has the right to plead and conduct his own case in federal court. However, that right does not create a coordinate right to litigate for others. Myers v. Loudoun Cty. Pub. Sch., 418 F.3d 395, 400 (4th Cir. 2005). A review of the court file in this action calls into question whether Plaintiff, who is proceeding pro se, has prepared and filed the pleadings in this action. Accordingly, the United States Magistrate Judge shall determine if the complaint in this case was filed appropriately and in compliance with applicable law. Signed by Honorable Timothy M Cain on 06/10/2019. (dsto, ) |
