The Court SEVERS the habeas claims in Jackson's pleadings from this civil rights action filed under 1983. The Court directs the Clerk of Court to open a new habeas case pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254 (nature of suit 530), for the now-severed claims and file a copy of the pertinent filings (ECF Nos. #3 , #12 , #17 ) and this order in that case. Finally, the District Court should dismiss the 1983 action under 28 U.S.C. 1915A and 1915(e)(2)(B). The dismissal of this case counts as a strike for purposes of 28 U.S.C. 1915(g).
