ORDER: On October 20, 2022, pro se Plaintiff (Hatten-Lovett) filed a complaint against Defendants. ECF No. 1. On October 21, 2022, Hatten-Lovett filed an Amended Complaint that named the United States as the only Defendant. ECF No. 6. On October 26, 2022, Hatten-Lovett filed a Second Amended Complaint that added additional defendants. Because he paid the filing fee, Hatten-Lovett is now responsible for serving the Defendants with a summons and a copy of the Second Amended Complaint in this case as provided by Rule 4(i) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Accordingly, Hatten-Lovett must properly serve the United States, Christopher Wray, Steny Hoyer, and Kevin McCarthy by January 23, 2023. (Ordered by Magistrate Judge Hal R. ORDER: Hatten-Lovett must properly serve the United States by January 19, 2023. In addition, Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(l) requires Hatten-Lovett to file proof of service with the Court unless service is waived. This proof must consist of the servers affidavit if service was not effected by the United States Marshal or a deputy marshal. Id. If Hatten-Lovett does not file a valid return of service or otherwise show that Defendant was properly served, this action may be dismissed for improper service. (Ordered by Magistrate Judge Hal R.
