Filing 15 Order Directing Plaintiff's Custodian to Forward Certified Copy of Inmate Trust Account Statement - In order to proceed in forma pauperis, federal law requires inmates to submit a certified copy of their trust fund account statement for the preceding six-month period before filing suit. The District Court then, in turn, assesses a partial filing fee for those inmates who qualify for such status. Detention facilities share some responsibility in seeing that this task is completed. Therefore, the Court hereby ORDERS Warden T. Rule or his designee at FCI Terre Haute to provide the Court with a certified copy of Mr. Fletcher's trust account statement or FCI Terre Haute's institutional equivalent for the six-month period preceding the filing of this action on June 16, 2023, and to do so no later than August 4, 2023. The trust account statement should be submitted to the Clerk of the Court and should reference case number No. 2:23-cv-306- JMS-MKK. Upon receipt of the required statement, the Court will assess what initial partial filing fee must be paid, if any, and whether a collection order should be entered to collect the filing fee. ***SEE ORDER*** (Copy distributed pursuant to distribution list via U.S. mail).
