Filing 4 Electronic Clerk's Notes for proceedings held before District Judge Leo T. Sorokin: Status Conference held on 2/28/2022. Defendants filed petition with the MDL panel to transfer cases to this district and create the MDL case here. Plaintiffs' response is due March 16, 2022 and they support the motion. Counsel inform the Court that if a MDL case is created here the number of cases will grow substantially and discuss the possibility of cases currently in the Massachusetts state court being filed in this Court. Counsel will file joint stipulation regarding stay of motion practice and effectuating service in the 1:21-cv-11985-LTS Easom v. Covidien, Inc. et al case and if it is allowed by the Court they will file it in the rest of the cases. Parties to file a joint status by April 15, 2022 or 7 days after the MDL panel decision (whichever is first). Depending on the timing of the decision the Court may hold a status conference in mid-June.
