TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff has filed a pro se complaint and a Motion for Leave to Proceed In Forma Pauperis. (ECF Nos. #1 & #2 .) In connection with proceedings in forma pauperis, the Court is required to screen the Complaint pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915(e)(2) and 1915(A). Having done so, the Court concludes that Plaintiffs claims are barred on res judicata grounds because the factual issues underpinning Plaintiffs federal court lawsuit were addressed in a final decision on the merits in Rhode Island Hous. & Mortg. Fin. Corp. v. Gordon, 275 A.3d 559, 561 (R.I. 2022). See DuLaurence v. Telegen, No. 15-1537, 2016 WL 10454553, at *1 (1st Cir. Nov. 30, 2016). Accordingly, the Complaint (ECF No. #1 ) is DISMISSED and Plaintiffs Motion to Proceed In Forma Pauperis (ECF No. #2 ) is DENIED. So Ordered by District Judge Mary S. McElroy on 7/12/2023.
