January 7, 2025 Opinion or Order TEXT ORDER granting #2 Motion for Leave to Proceed in forma pauperis: Plaintiff Jumel Long's Motion to Proceed In Forma Pauperis (ECF No. 2) is GRANTED. Mr. Long must, however, still pay the full filing fee of $350.00, but he is permitted to pay it in installments. The first installment shall be 20% of the greater of the average monthly balance or of the average monthly deposits in the Plaintiffs Inmate Account over the six months preceding the filing of this Complaint. 28 U.S.C. 1915(e)(2)(B)(ii). The average monthly balance during that period in Mr. Long's Inmate Account was $42.33 and the average monthly deposits totaled $89.33. Therefore, the first installment is 20% of $89.33, or $17.86, and the Adult Correctional Institutions is directed to forward that amount to the Court. Thereafter, the payments shall be equal to 20% of each preceding month's income. So Ordered by Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. on 1/7/2025. (Jackson, Ryan)
